ok so.. i am a girl and my sexual preference are girls. I met this one girl who now is a good friends of mines, she seems to flirt with me a lot. Tells me certain things like.. oh i want you and winks at me, or tells me... i am so hot i make girls lesbians.. and winks.. is that normal? her myspace says she is straight. Yet i somehow feel a connection...

she doesn't know i'm gay yet.. should i tell her now?

or should i wait until we are more close? How would you react if you were straight and you found out a girl you flirt with joking around is gay? would you still be her friend?

although the first answer does have some amount of legitimacy, that girl obviously wasn't like your friend here. she obviously wasn't hitting on her friend telling her that she's so hot and that she wants her. to me it sounds like she's seriously flirting with you. i know some girls can be straight and just joke about it but you can tell the difference between a little joke and a joke that actually has some truth behind it. she may be into you and just doesn't know how to just say it. i'm not straight but if i was a straight girl and i was acting like this towards a gay friend of mine it would definitely have to mean i was feeling that person. i say go for it. good luck!

Uhm. since i'm a straight girl and i've been in this situation i would like to tell you i was a bit wierded out when my friend came out. I wanted to maintain the friendship we had so i tried to not think about it, but i noticed us moving farther and farther apart. Maybe the sooner you tell her the better.

it would depend on the way the girl acts. because if she can be a good friend thats a girl then that wouldf be okay and yeah i would stil be her friend. because i one time found out that a girl i was so cool with was gay and liked me so i just told her that hey yeah we can still be friends just dnt cross my personal space line as in if i like dudes dnt trya nd make it seem like we talk but yeah i was and still is her friend

But seriously maybe u should ask her opinion on homosexuality before coming out. I believe in coming out too ...but some people aren't worth the hassle...

A lot depends on the girl and of course her reaction, but then that is the same for anyone. One thing for sure, you will never know until you are honest with her.

I think you should wait 'til you trust enough to the point where you'll have no second thoughts. I actually did find out about a friend of mine in a similar scenario, and I am still her friend.
